Zombie Apocalypse -- Chapter 4.5 (An interlude)
Virgil Reed took a moment to quiet his mind. Ever since the Zombie Apocalypse began, Time and Space had been acting like a pair of crass and ditzy two-bit whores. One minute they're behaving normally and you're progressing through a clear and predictable continuum, the next they're wigging out and you're stuck in the brain of a pubescent school girl with a zombie wang in her wazoo. It wasn't pleasant. Virgil, however, had discovered a meditation to counter the effects of mercurial Time and Space. He closed his eyes and became like an uncarved block, filled with endless potential, immune to the miseries of the afflicted. In this state of peace, he pictured butterflies lofted on a summer breeze, and soon the horrors he wished he'd never been made to see began to fade. Ahhh....
